Easy skin care tips for men
Wash, don’t scrub. Scrubbing in the shower can do more harm than good, depleting the natural oils that help moisturize your skin.
Cut your shower time. Limit your bath or shower to 10 minutes, avoiding hot water and harsh, drying soaps.
Moisturize after showering. Apply moisturizer to your face and body immediately after bathing, showering or shaving while the skin is still damp.
Use a humidifier at night to add moisture back into the air.
Protect your skin from UV rays. Wear sunscreen every day, all year long to protect your skin from premature aging and skin cancer.
Refrain from smoking. Smoking dries the skin and contributes to premature aging.
Drink alcohol in moderation. Alcohol has a dehydrating effect on the skin.
Moisturize from the inside out. Drink lots of water and eat foods rich in antioxidants and fatty acids that help restore and retain moisture (like blueberries, oranges, salmon and sweet potatoes).
